المعلم على حق في هذه الحالة. في الجملة "The meeting is on Wednesday."، الفعل "is" هو فعل رئيسي (main verb) الذي يربط الموضوع "The meeting" بالموقت "on Wednesday". عندما يكون الفعل هو الفعل الرئيسي في الجملة، فإنه من الأفضل أن يكون الفاعل (subject) مباشرًا بعد الفعل وليس بعد عبارة الظرف الزمني (prepositional phrase) كـ"on Wednesday". لذلك، الجملة "on Monday, the meeting is." ليست جيدة من الناحية اللغوية، ومن الأفضل كتابتها بترتيب صحيح كـ"The meeting is on Monday." لتكون أكثر وضوحًا وصحة لغوية.

@Aref22 you should probably say, "The meeting is on Monday."

"On Monday, the meeting is," is not a correct sentence because it does not follow English syntax. It sounds exactly like Yoda from Star Wars, in fact, who famously said things in this specific order (at least in the English version of the franchise). He was considered somewhat difficult to understand until you got used to his style.

You can, however, begin a sentence with a prepositional phrase, like this:

"On Monday I have five appointments and need to pick my daughter up from school." This sentence emphasizes what you have to do on this particular day likely because somebody asked you what your schedule is like.

The teacher is correct. You could say: On Wednesday the meeting is at 10 a.m. But it isn't correct to say: On Wednesday the meeting is.
